James Clarke

James Clarke is a seasoned Research Software Engineer and Senior Data Engineer at Ordnance Survey, with a career spanning various roles since April 2012. Responsibilities include ensuring software sustainability for Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) and leading technical initiatives such as the HD Roads project. James began the journey at Ordnance Survey as a Trainee Software Engineer, focusing on geospatial applications and Oracle technologies. Prior experience includes positions at Farnham Leisure Centre and academic roles as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist and in Astrophysics at prestigious institutions. James holds a PhD and MRes in Astrophysics from the University of Hertfordshire and a BSc in Physics with Nuclear Astrophysics from the University of Surrey.
