Jonathan Simmons has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Jonathan started their career in 2005 as a Senior Geographic Information Developer at Ordnance Survey, where they worked until 2013. Jonathan then progressed to the position of Principal Consultant from 2014 to 2018, and subsequently became the Head of Data Science & Analytics until 2021. Currently, Jonathan holds the role of Head of Data Management and Data Science at Ordnance Survey. Additionally, they had a brief secondment as a Consultant at Prime Minister's Delivery Unit in 2008-2009 and worked as an Information Solutions Assistant at Derbyshire Dales District Council from 2003 to 2004.

Jonathan Simmons earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics at the University of Nottingham.
