Bernard Chartier possesses extensive experience in governance and management within various organizations in Quebec. Currently serving as a member of the ethics and professional conduct committees for OTTIAQ and the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec, as well as the board member for the OPPQ and president of the Chambre de commerce de La Jacques-Cartier, Bernard has demonstrated leadership and commitment to professional standards. Past roles include General Director at the Tribunal administratif du Québec, responsible for administrative activities and digital transformation, and Director General of Governance and Information Resource Management in the Ministry of Education, where Bernard implemented significant legislative frameworks. Bernard holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from École nationale d'administration publique and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in the same field. Additionally, Bernard is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a degree from Université Laval.

QUALITY SERVICES, FIRST AND FOREMOST The Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec is an order with a reserved title representing more than 2,000 members, all of whom are certified language professionals. As part of its mandate to protect the public, the Order has adopted the following mission: to ensure and promote the competence and professionalism of its members in the fields of translation, terminology and interpretation. MISSION In issuing a permit, the Order attests to the competence and professionalism of an individual holding the title of certified translator, terminologist or interpreter, thereby fulfilling its mandate to protect the public. Its mission is to promote the professionalism of members’ duties, foster improvements in professional practice and assist members in adapting to technological, economic, institutional and cultural changes. The Order aims to become Québec’s reference and gathering point for the domains of translation, terminology and interpretation. OUR VALUES Accountability.
