Brandon Purnell

Brandon Purnell is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as a U.S. Army Mission Assurance, CIP-MAA Cyber Analyst with the Army National Guard since September 2018, focusing on critical infrastructure protection beginning November 2024. Purnell has previously held roles as a Cyberspace Defense Warrant Officer, overseeing cybersecurity operations and infrastructure management within the 28th Infantry Division, and has deployed to Iraq and Kuwait in support of Operation Inherent Resolve/Spartan Shield. Additional experience includes positions as an Information Systems Security Manager at The GBS Group and a Systems Administrator in Vulnerability Management at TEKsystems, where skills in risk assessment and vulnerability remediation were applied. Purnell's educational background includes a Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Analytics, and Operations, as well as a Bachelor's degree in International Politics, supplemented by international study at East China Normal University.
