Emily Wilken

Emily Wilken is an experienced scenic charge artist at Oregon Children's Theatre since August 2017, where responsibilities include interpreting design drawings and managing the paint budget in collaboration with the technical director. As a freelance designer and project manager since 2014, Emily operates a successful freelance design business, showcasing work through an online portfolio. Previous roles include production and rental manager at Enlightened Theatrics, where recruitment and departmental management were key responsibilities, and volunteer manager at Hillsdale Main Street, developing a robust volunteer program. Earlier experience includes project coordinator for the Main Street Program / Americorps VISTA, assistant properties master at Illinois Shakespeare Festival, and management roles at Papa Murphy's International. Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in Scenic Design/Production from Illinois State University and an Associate's degree in Fine Arts from Highland Community College, complemented by an Arts and Culture Certificate from the English Language School "Plovdiv."
