Tristin Hoffman is an experienced journalist with a strong background in investigative reporting and editorial leadership. Currently serving as an Investigative Reporting Intern at the Catalyst Journalism Project since January 2024, Tristin conducts beat reporting and in-depth stories focused on issues in Eugene and Oregon. As Editor in Chief of the Daily Emerald since September 2022, Tristin oversees a newsroom of approximately 30 editors and over 110 reporters, managing the budget, setting coverage vision, and leading the award-winning team. Additionally, Tristin has held roles such as Senior News Editor, Investigations Editor, and News Reporter at the Emerald Media Group and has experience in creative direction with Unbound Journal. Tristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Law from the University of Oregon, with educational credentials dating back to graduation from Sage Creek High School in 2020.
