Angelica Cortes

Angelica describes community organizing as part of her essence. From her personal experiences of eating seasonally and learning to grow vegetables, Angelica learned about the importance of fresh, local, nutritious food. She says she likes to serve as an example for others in her community about how food security means access to fresh, nutritious, local and culturally relevant foods. She works at Growing Gardens and helps implement their equity, diversity and inclusion strategies.
