O’Nesha Cochran has been in Portland for over 20 years and she has learned a lot about the city and its systems since then. O’Nesha has been working with Brown Hope as their Solidarity Squad Coordinator for the past few years. O’Nesha describes her work on mutual aid projects as her full time job as well as something she’s done for years before and does outside of work. O’Nesha speaks with a lot of passion for justice for houseless communities in Portland. Her ethos is that services need to be accessible to people and need to reach them directly instead of waiting for people to find out about them.
