Derick du Vivier M.D.

Derick Du Vivier MD, MBA, SHRM-CP has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Derick started their career as an Anesthesiologist at Rogue Valley Medical Center in 2002 and later became the Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology at both Providence Medical Center and Rogue Valley Medical Center. In 2010, they also served as the Medical Director of Anesthesia Services at Providence Medical Center.

Additionally, Dr. Du Vivier has held leadership positions such as the Medical Staff President and President-Elect at Providence Medical Center. Derick also served as the Faculty Senate President at OHSU in 2017.

Derick'sexperience with diversity and inclusion includes roles such as the Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and the Interim Vice President of Equity and Inclusion at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Derick has also held the position of Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at OHSU School of Medicine.

Furthermore, Dr. Du Vivier has gained international experience as a Visiting Researcher at the Meiji Institute for Global Affairs and as an International Affairs Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Derick Du Vivier MD, MBA, SHRM-CP completed their education at the University of Chicago, where they obtained their BA degree in Psychology from 1986 to 1990. Derick then went on to pursue their MD degree at the Emory University School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998. Lastly, they attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2007 to 2008, earning their MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
