Stephani Gordon is a seasoned visual journalist and science filmmaker with extensive experience in cinematography and editing at OPB since September 2018, contributing to multiplatform series such as Oregon Field Guide and Pacific Northwest news. As the founder of Open Boat Films since July 2006, Stephani has produced award-winning content for various natural resource and conservation organizations, showcasing skills in filming, editing, and underwater cinematography. Previous roles include a Marine Ecosystem Research Specialist at NOAA, where extensive field research on sharks and reef ecosystems was conducted, and positions as a field biologist at Humboldt State University and the Smithsonian Institution, with foundational experience in biological research. Stephani holds an MFA in Science & Natural History Filmmaking from Montana State University, an MA in Biology from Humboldt State University, and a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
