Andrew Bergen is a seasoned researcher and scientist with extensive experience in epidemiology, genomics, and tobacco dependence. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute since September 2017, Andrew also holds the position of Scientific Advisor at BioRealm, LLC. Previous roles include Senior Director at SRI International, where Andrew led studies on tobacco dependence and eating disorders, and Staff Scientist at the National Cancer Institute, focusing on laboratory technologies and lung cancer. Andrew's academic background includes a PhD in Genetics from The George Washington University, an MA in Genetics from The Johns Hopkins University, and a BA in Biology from Haverford College.
