Irem Y. Tumer

Irem Y. Tumer is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as the Vice President for Research and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Oregon State University, where responsibilities also include Associate Dean for Research in the College of Engineering. With a rich background at NASA Ames Research Center as a Senior Research Scientist and Group Lead from June 1998 to October 2006, Irem has made significant contributions to the field. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both obtained from The University of Texas at Austin, completed in 1998 and 1991, respectively.
