Carlos R Sanchez

Carlos R Sanchez is an accomplished veterinarian with extensive experience in animal health and welfare, currently serving as the Director of Animal Health and Head Veterinarian at Oregon Zoo since July 2018. Sanchez has held various roles in notable institutions, including Associate Veterinarian and Director of Veterinary Services at Fort Worth Zoo, where responsibilities included developing preventative health programs and supervising veterinary staff. In addition to experience at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park and Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo, Sanchez has been a Zoo and Wildlife Veterinary Consultant since September 2012.
