Hova Najarian

Hova Najarian is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media and public relations. Currently serving as the Media & Public Relations Officer at Oregon Zoo since February 2006, Hova coordinates communication efforts, including writing and editing various materials and assisting with media events. Previous roles include Publications Group Coordinator at The New York Times, where responsibilities included managing the Best Sellers list and preparing daily templates for publications, as well as Copy Editor at New York Magazine, focusing on error correction in articles. Hova also taught expository writing courses at New York University and served as a Public Information Officer at the University of Southern California, where community engagement and media relations were prioritized. Hova holds a Master’s degree in English from New York University and an A.B. in English with a focus on Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Southern California.
