Amelia Blevins has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Amelia started their career as a Writing Center Tutor at Ithaca College in 2010 and then interned as an Acquisitions Intern at Cornell University Press in 2012. Later that year, they joined Cengage Learning as an Editorial Assistant and worked their way up to become an Associate Content Developer and then a Content Developer in the Social Sciences division. At Cengage Learning, Amelia managed content development processes, worked closely with product and development teams to develop learning materials, and conducted market research for product development.

In 2015, Amelia joined various companies where they held multiple roles. As an Educational Content Developer, they worked as an Instructional Designer for Cerego, where they wrote and developed educational content. Amelia also worked as a Copy Editor for Keypath Education/Thruline Marketing, editing education-related web copy and articles. Additionally, they served as a Copy Editor and Fact Checker for Little Passports, where they ensured the accuracy and quality of educational content for children's subscription packages.

Amelia joined F.A. Davis Company in 2016 as a Developmental Editor for Digital Products. In this role, they developed online course content and digital products for titles in the health professions and medicine. Amelia also trained project managers on ancillary content development and oversaw the release of materials.

Most recently, Amelia worked at O'Reilly Media starting in 2019. Amelia began as a Development Editor and then transitioned to the role of Curriculum & Instructional Designer. Currently, they work as a Technical Instructional Designer.

Amelia Blevins pursued their higher education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2014 to 2017.
