Andrew W.

Andrew W. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Andrew started their career as an Intern in the US Department of State's DRL/NEA division in 2011. Later, in 2012, they interned at the Tunisia Country Office of Search for Common Ground. In 2013, Andrew served as a Civil Society Partnerships Program Intern at the Project On Middle East Democracy and then worked as a Program Associate at IREX. From 2014 to 2017, they served as an Africa Analyst at Navanti Group.

Andrew transitioned into the field of data science in 2017, working as a self-employed Data Scientist until 2022. During this time, they gained expertise in Python, SQL, and various data analysis and machine learning libraries. In 2021, Andrew joined O'Reilly Media as a Data Scientist, focusing on natural language processing and user behavior reporting. Andrew then advanced to the role of Senior Data Scientist in March 2022, where they continue to contribute to NLP projects and business decision-making.

Andrew W. attended Georgetown University from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Foreign Service. Prior to that, they attended Brown University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Middle East Studies.
