Brian Francis Deguzman

Brian Francis DeGuzman has had a diverse range of work experiences. Brian Francis is currently working as a Software Engineer at O'Reilly since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Philips as a Software Engineer from November 2020 to November 2021. During their time at Philips, they developed front-end features and upgrades on the 'RATE Covid' project using Angular and Flask, introduced unit testing to increase code coverage, and oversaw the development and upgrade of 'Experience Lab' software.

Before joining Philips, Brian worked at Willis Towers Watson as a Software Engineer from June 2018 to October 2020. In this role, they used .NET MVC, C#, and front-end technologies to create various features for the company's benefits admin portal. Brian Francis also helped modernize the team's Client Support site from AngularJS to Angular 8.

Brian gained experience as an Automation Engineer Intern at BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York from May 2017 to August 2017. There, they developed an Automated Claims Testing tool and implemented a reporting and verification sub app using C#.

As a Software Development Intern at interactiveX, Inc. from December 2016 to May 2017, Brian participated in revamping the company homepage and translating UI/UX wireframes into actual code.

Furthermore, Brian worked as a Conference Host at the University at Buffalo in the summer of 2016.

Brian Francis DeGuzman completed their Honors/Regents High School/Secondary Diploma Program at Marble Hill High School for International Studies from 2009 to 2013. Brian Francis then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at the University at Buffalo from 2013 to 2018.
