Jay McNamara has a strong background in business development and strategic accounts management. Jay began their career in 1994 at Thomson Course Technology, where they served as VP of Business Development until 2001. From 1999 to 2002, they held the position of VP of Business Development at Instruction Set. In 2002, they joined Thomson NETg and held multiple roles, including AVP of Business Development and Channel Sales, as well as AVP of Strategic Partners.
After leaving Thomson NETg in 2007, McNamara worked as a Business Development Executive at OnForce until 2009. Jay then joined Skillsoft Corporation as a Business Development Executive for Channel Markets, a role they held until 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they served as Vice President of Business Development at LearningGate. Jay then worked as a National Advisor for Workforce Solutions at Apollo Education Group from 2013 to 2014.
From 2014 to 2017, McNamara served as the Business Development Director for CPTM at Pearson Professional Learning Solutions. In 2017, they joined O'Reilly Media as a Strategic Accounts Manager, a position they currently hold. Additionally, starting in 2023, McNamara will serve on the Board of Directors for ARLINGTON BOYS & GIRLS CLUB, INC.
Jay McNamara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University. Before attending Harvard, they completed their high school education at Matignon High School. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) from Training Industry, Inc., which they obtained in October 2015.
