Travis Lowdermilk

Travis Lowdermilk has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Travis started their career as a Systems Administrator and Graphic Designer at Hoerner Group in 1999. In 2001, they became an IS Manager at Eye Surgical and Medical Associates, and later transitioned to a role as a Web Programmer at Valley Children's Healthcare in 2005. From 2007 to 2013, Travis worked as a Database Administrator and Application Developer at Kaweah Delta Health Care District. In 2013, they joined Microsoft as a Senior UX Designer and eventually became a Principal UX Researcher in 2019. Alongside their corporate work, Travis also authored content for O'Reilly Media starting in 2013. Additionally, in 2016, they worked as a Support Lecturer at the University of Washington, where they provided assistance for a course on Interaction Design and Prototyping.

Travis Lowdermilk has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Computer Interaction from DePaul University, which was obtained between the years 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, Travis received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration, specifically in the field of Information Systems, from California State University, Fresno, where they studied from 2002 to 2005.
