Kabir Taneja is the Deputy Director and a Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, specializing in strategic studies with a focus on the Middle East, terrorism, and foreign policy issues. Kabir earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, and a Master's degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University, UK. Prior to their current role, Kabir held positions as a Scholar at The Takshashila Institution, a Guest Scholar at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute, and a Special Correspondent for The Sunday Guardian. Currently, they are leading research on the rise of ISIS and its influence in India.
