Fabro Steibel

Fabro Steibel serves as the Executive Director of Instituto de Tecnologia & Sociedade do Rio de Janeiro, focusing on the impact of technology in Brazil and globally since October 2013. In addition, Steibel is a Global Council Member for the World Economic Forum and an Independent Researcher for Brazil with the Open Government Partnership since 2014. Steibel holds the position of Open Government Fellow at the Organization of American States since March 2015. Previous roles include Chief Area Manager and Lecturer at ESPM and Senior Consultant for various organizations, including IPPDH Mercosul and UNESCO. Steibel's academic credentials include a PhD in Communications Studies from the University of Leeds and multiple post-doctoral positions in political communication and media studies. Currently, Steibel is affiliated with the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University.
