Rob Schwalje

Rob Schwalje has an extensive work experience in the IT field. Rob is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of R&D Business Technology and Enterprise Data & Analytics at Organon since November 2021. Prior to this role, they were the Executive Director of R&D Business Technology at Organon from June 2021.

Before joining Organon, Rob worked at Merck for several years. Rob served as the IT Executive Director for Global Clinical Development, Global Medical Affairs, Quality Assurance, and CORE from April 2019 to February 2021. Rob also held the position of Director of GHH Global Centers of Excellence IT from January 2015 to March 2019, where they were responsible for IT client services for various departments and functions. Rob also served as the Director of US Managed Markets & Policy / US Finance IT from November 2009 to January 2015, where they led a transformational change initiative and developed a contract analytics strategic technology roadmap.

Before their time at Merck, Rob worked at Johnson & Johnson from 2002 to 2007. Rob held various managerial roles, including Manager of Global Laboratory Services and Black Belt of Global Laboratory Support Strategy, where they led initiatives to improve IT support processes and reduce system downtime.

At the start of their career, Rob participated in the NBC Information Management Leadership Program Associate at GE from 1999 to 2001. Rob also served as the Backend Data Integration Manager, where they managed the integration of market data feeds into a data warehouse.

Overall, Rob Schwalje has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT field, with a focus on R&D technology, global operations, and strategic planning.

Rob Schwalje attended J.P. Stevens High School from 1991 to 1995. Rob then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science at Rutgers University from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Rob has obtained additional certifications, including becoming a Certified SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager in May 2022 and a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist in December 2021.
