Dr. Therese Koal

Dr. Therese Koal serves as the Head of Research and Development at ORGENTEC Diagnostika GmbH since September 2024. Prior to this role, Dr. Koal was the Chief Technology Officer at Biocrates Life Sciences AG from November 2006 to August 2024, where responsibilities included leading cross-functional R&D teams, transitioning the company to an IVD business, and developing Metabolomics and Lipidomics products. Earlier experience includes positions as Head of Research and Development and Director of Product Development at Biocrates, and as Senior Scientist at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, where Dr. Koal developed a clinical platform for Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and a post-graduate degree in Toxicology from Leipzig University, complemented by a Diplom in Chemistry.
