Bob Hsiung has over 30 years of experience in engineering and project management. Bob began their career in 1989 as a Design Engineer at Foster Miller, where they designed key subcomponents of a patented Miniature Internal Pipeline Inspection Vehicle and authored award-winning SBIR proposals. In 1995, they began working as a Freelance Graphic Designer, Writer and Researcher. From 1999 to 2002, they were the Multimedia Project Director at Learning Technologies Ltd., where they created and marketed a website to sell and support Disney's World of English. In 2006, they became a Technology Specialist at Partners In Health, where they implemented an electronic medical records system and developed relationships with Government Ministries, NGOs and local vendors. From 2008 to 2011, they were the Technical Development Manager at the MIT Media Lab, where they managed a team of graduate students, undergraduates and industry professionals in designing, constructing, and operating sophisticated robotic set pieces and control systems. From 2011 to 2012, they were the Senior Mechanical Engineer and Manager of Robotics Engineering at Hstar Technologies, where they split their time between performing detailed electro-mechanical design work and managing the interdisciplinary engineering team on a variety of projects. From 2013 to 2018, they were the Solutions Engineering Manager and Research Engineer at Symbotic, where they developed design solutions leading to over $100M of combined sales and trained and led a team to rapidly analyze millions of lines of customer data and develop customized system solutions. Bob is currently the Lead Hardware Engineer at Ori.

Bob Hsiung obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
