Alex Pankov has a strong background in bioinformatics and computational biology. Alex began their career at Human Longevity, Inc. as a Machine Learning Intern in 2015. Alex then joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Bioinformatics Scientist in 2016, where they worked until 2018. During that time, they gained experience and expertise in their field. In 2018, Alex joined ORIC Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a Senior Computational Biologist, and quickly moved up to the role of Principal Scientist, Computational Biology in 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director and Head of Bioinformatics at ORIC Pharmaceuticals Inc. Alex's work experience showcases their growth and contributions in the field of computational biology.
Alex Pankov holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from San Francisco State University. Furthermore, Pankov also obtained a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of California, San Francisco.
