Rachael Sandel

Rachael Sandel serves as the Group Chief Information Officer at Orica since July 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing the strategy and secure operation of global IT business systems, along with jointly leading the Data, Analytics, and AI team. Prior roles at Orica encompassed Head of Digital Workplace, where Rachael managed a global team of 70 and was accountable for IT digital workplace technologies, and Head of Strategy, Architecture & Projects, focusing on IT strategy and governance. Experience also includes acting Vice President of Information Technology and Head of IT Strategy & Governance at National Australia Bank, Global Infrastructure Programme Manager at Merlin Entertainments, and leadership positions at South32 and Deloitte Australia. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Business Information Systems from Monash University.
