Hirasaki Seiji

Hirasaki Seiji has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Hirasaki is currently the Co-Founder and President of OriCiro Genomics, Inc., a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, from April 2019 to August 2022, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of the same company.

In 2019, Seiji joined Unreasonable as an Unreasonable Fellow. Unreasonable is an organization, investment fund, and private global network that supports entrepreneurs addressing social and environmental challenges with profit-driven solutions.

Before their involvement in the biotech and entrepreneurship sectors, Seiji held various roles at Anges MG, Inc. Hirasaki served as the COO and Head of Corporate Strategy from January 2016 to March 2019. Hirasaki also held the position of General Manager from September 2002 to March 2019. Additionally, from September 2012 to January 2016, they were the Director of Business Development and Corporate Strategy at the company.

Seiji's career began at Nikkei in 1989, where they worked as a Writer for over a decade, from April 1989 to June 2001.

Hirasaki Seiji obtained a MSc degree in Physics from Tohoku University between 1983 and 1989. Later, they pursued further education and completed another MSc degree in Science & Technology Policy at the University of Sussex during the academic year 2001-2002.
