Chris Pugrud

Chris Pugrud is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Cybersecurity Architect at Origence since May 2022, focusing on engineering and development. Pugrud co-founded the Wall of Sheep in August 2001, an educational initiative that highlights vulnerabilities in network traffic at the annual DefCon security conference. Previously, Pugrud held the role of Enterprise Technical Architect at First Interstate Bank, leading security architecture towards a zero-trust model. Experience also includes significant positions such as Security Architect for Honcoop Technology Services, Lead Engineer for Radiance Technologies, Principal Systems Architect at Jorge Scientific Corporation, and various roles in information assurance and security across multiple companies, including SI International and ITT MEO/TACSWACAA. Pugrud holds a Master’s degree in Information Security and Assurance and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Architecture from George Mason University.
