Zach Wasson

Zach Wasson has a long and impressive work history in the banking and financial sector. Zach started their career as a Staff Accountant at Rea, Shaw, Giffin and Stuart, CPAs in 1975. Zach then worked as a Controller at Midland Federal Savings and Loan Association before moving to Unifirst Bank for Savings, where they served as EVP and Chief Financial Officer. At Trustmark National Bank, they held various roles, including SVP and Chief Investment Officer, and later became EVP and CFO. After that, Wasson joined Sterling Bank as EVP and CFO, where they managed internal and external reporting and ensured compliance with SEC and regulatory requirements. Zach then held executive positions at Banorte USA and Happy State Bank & Trust Co. as EVP and CFO. Currently, they are working as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Origin Bank.

Zach Wasson holds an MBA in Management from Mississippi State University, which they obtained during the years 1977-1979. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the same university from 1972-1974. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Chartered Financial Analyst from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts in 1994 and as a Certified Public Accountant from the American Institute of CPAs and Mississippi Society of CPAs in 1976.
