Shengxun Yang

Shengxun YANG is an experienced data and cloud integration engineer with a robust background in data engineering and development. Currently serving as an Engineer in Cloud Integration at Origin Energy since October 2025, Shengxun has previously held senior data engineering roles at Sportsbet and carsales.com.au. Prior experience includes consulting as a Data Engineer and working as a Data Scientist at NAB, as well as a Specialist Developer at nbn™ Australia. Shengxun began a career as a Big Data Engineer at Telstra and has extensive academic experience as a PhD researcher at La Trobe University, where a PhD in Computer Science focused on high-dimensional big data sets was obtained. Earlier roles also include lecturing at Charles Sturt University and leading database development at Willpower Industry in China, alongside experience as a Database Designer at Woodwise Pty. Ltd. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
