Matthew Hamel

Matthew Hamel is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in live entertainment and theatrical projects. Currently serving as the Director of Experience Creative at Original X Productions since November 2022, Matthew also operates Matthew Hamel Design as Principal Designer since May 2015, specializing in realized designs for live events. Previous roles include Director and Associate Director of Design at RWS Entertainment Group from August 2018 to October 2022, where Matthew was responsible for production and scenic design for diverse clients in the attraction and themed entertainment sectors. Matthew holds a Master of Fine Arts in Stage Design from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from Creighton University. Skills include communication, collaboration, research, and various design techniques such as 3D visualization and scale model building.
