Oliver Hartley has extensive experience in the field of biotechnology and medical research. Oliver is currently working as the VP Drug Discovery at Orion Biotechnology, a position they have held since 2019. Prior to this, Oliver worked at the University of Geneva, where they held various roles including Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Group Leader, Senior Research Fellow, and Postdoctoral Fellow. Oliver also served as the Chief Scientific Officer at The Mintaka Foundation for Medical Research. Oliver gained experience in the industry as a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at GlaxoSmithKline. Oliver began their career as a PhD student at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and also worked as a Research assistant (undergraduate) at the Institute of Child Health in London.
Oliver Hartley completed their education from 1993 to 1997 at the University of Cambridge, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of protein engineering.
