Chris Leary

Chris Leary is an Investment Partner responsible for evaluating, structuring, and monitoring of investments.

Mr. Leary serves as an observer to the Future Energy Solutions, Midland Basin Partners, Mohegan Energy Trustees, Evolution Well Services, CarbonLITE, Nautilus Data Technologies and Lakeview Energy boards of directors. Mr. Leary is also a member of the Orion Energy Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Orion Energy, Mr. Leary was Vice President at Barclays Natural Resource Investments (“BNRI”), a multibillion-dollar private equity fund invested in oil & gas, asset-heavy energy services, power and mining.

During his 6 years at BNRI, Mr. Leary managed and executed on the fund’s investment in K Road Power from inception through exit, working closely with Mr. Nicholas and Mr. Friedland on key aspects of the business.

Mr. Leary was actively involved in various other investments, asset acquisitions and exits in the portfolio, often representing BNRI as a non-executive director. Select portfolio companies include CIG Logistics, PetroGranada, Enhance Energy, American Wind Capital Company, Hydra Energy, Southern Peaks Mining and BMC Minerals. Mr. Leary led or participated in the structuring and execution of various senior and mezzanine debt financings across the BNRI portfolio.

Mr. Leary received a B.S. in Management (Finance) and a B.S. in Physics from the Carroll School of Management of Boston College summa cum laude.
