Anssi Mäkiniemi

Anssi Mäkiniemi has been with Orion Corporation since June 2006, currently serving as the Head of Digital Health and Biomarkers and previously held the role of Digital Manager. In this capacity, Anssi leads research and pilot projects focused on innovative technologies in the pharmaceutical industry, emphasizing digitalization through areas such as artificial intelligence, wearables, blockchain, and virtual/augmented reality. Prior to these roles, Anssi was a Senior Specialist responsible for the budget, procurement, installation, validation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and held positions as a Specialist with a focus on equipment and computerized systems. Anssi's career at Orion Corporation began in 1998 as a Research Scientist. Anssi holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Turku.
