Taru Blom

Taru Blom has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and medical research fields, currently serving as Vice President of Late Development and previously holding various leadership roles at Orion Corporation since 2004, including Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of R&D Global Development and Medical Affairs. Prior to Orion Corporation, Taru Blom was Vice President of Clinical Research at Hormos Medical Ltd from 2001 to 2004 and held the position of Clinical Development Manager at Schering from 2000 to 2001. Additional experience includes roles as Medical Adviser/Core Clinician/Study Manager at Berlex and Leiras/Schering AG, and as Medical Adviser/Core Clinician at Leiras Oy. Taru Blom earned an MD and PhD in Medicine from the University of Turku between 1985 and 1992, following education at Kokemäki Gymnasium.
