Jean-Yves Djamen, Ph.D. Artificial Intelligence has extensive work experience in the field. Starting in 1993, they co-founded the Information Technology Institute with Philip Obenson and served as a shareholder and partner. In 1997, they founded GTN Consultants and BIP Telecom (previously TANDJA Corporation). Jean-Yves also served as an expert consultant (specialist) at the University of Douala (Institute of Technology) in 1998. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Chief Engineer in Computer Science at the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform in Cameroon. During this time, they promoted the theory of “Authentication” in public service to ensure the uniqueness of a source of information in HRM Systems. In 2009, they founded Cabinet JYD & Consultants and served as its Managing Partner and Expert Consultant until 2011. During this time, they led a multi-disciplinary team for the design, development, deployment and maintenance of NEXUS+, an Electronic Cargo Tracking System used by Cameroon Customs Administration and transit Stakeholders. In 2017, they became an Associate Professor at the Institute of science, technology and advanced studies of Haiti - ISTEAH. Lastly, they have been the Founder & CEO of ORIONIS GROUP since 2010.
Jean-Yves Djamen, Ph.D. Artificial Intelligence has a comprehensive education history. Jean-Yves earned a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the Université de Montréal between 1991 and 1995. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree in Computer Software Engineering from the Institut Africain d'Informatique between 1987 and 1990. Jean-Yves also attended the Institut Africain d'Informatique to pursue a degree in Computer Systems Analysis/Analyst between 1981 and 1984. Furthermore, they attended Lycee Polyvalent de Bonaberi until 1981 and Ecole Sacre Coeur de New Bell Douala until 1974.
