Nikolai Kley

Nikolai Kley has over 30 years of work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Nikolai is the Founder, President, and CEO of Orionis Biosciences since 2015. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Vice President of Discovery Biology and Drug Discovery at FORMA Therapeutics Inc. from 2008 to 2015. Nikolai also served as the Vice President and Head of Research at GPC Biotech Inc. from 1999 to 2008. Before that, they held the position of Vice President of Functional Genomics at Genome Therapeutics Corporation from 1997 to 1999. Nikolai has also worked as an Adjunct Research Professor at Princeton University from 1996 to 1997 and as a Group Leader and Head of Tumor Suppressor Program at Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute from 1992 to 1997. Nikolai began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital from 1989 to 1992 and at Max Planck Institute from 1988 to 1989.

Nikolai Kley holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Max Planck Institute. Nikolai also completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Leeds, UK, earning a B.Sc. Hon. in Biochemistry and Physiology.
