Justin Hirsch

Justin Hirsch is Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Risk Management for ORIX Corporation USA (ORIX USA). Mr. Hirsch is responsible for an independent review of ORIX USA’s current and proposed balance sheet investments and helping guide the Company’s credit risk strategy to be in line with OCU’s risk appetite policy. He joined the firm in 2015 and is located in Dallas. Mr. Hirsch has over 20 years of experience in direct lending and credit risk management through multiple credit cycles. Over half of this time has been in the management of distressed assets at US and overseas financial institutions.

Prior to joining ORIX USA, Mr. Hirsch served as General Manager for Aozora Bank in Tokyo, where he led a team responsible for managing Aozora’s international distressed assets portfolio. Mr. Hirsch began his career in Bank of America’s Global Corporate and Investment Bank before transferring to its Special Assets Group. During this time, Mr. Hirsch served on numerous steering committees and led restructuring negotiations on behalf of lender groups.

Mr. Hirsch is a member of the ORIX USA Investment Committee. He holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
