Silvana Costa, PhD, CDI.D, is a Senior Sustainability and People Executive currently serving as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Orla Mining Ltd. With a rich background in environmental research, social responsibility, and governance, Silvana has held key roles at organizations like New Gold Inc., Equinox Gold Corp., and AECOM. They have contributed to significant projects in community engagement, environmental impact assessments, and social performance frameworks across multiple countries. Silvana holds a PhD in Mining Engineering from the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering and a Master's degree in Environmental Design from the University of Calgary.
