Teaching Artist / Summer Design & Tech Academy Coordinator at Orlando Family Stage

Dan Davis, Jr. is an experienced educator and theatre professional with a diverse background in teaching, artistic coordination, and entertainment management. Since August 2017, Dan has been a Teacher with Orange County Public Schools, while also serving as a Teaching Artist and Summer Design & Tech Academy Coordinator for Orlando Family Stage since June 2018, focusing on design and technical theatre for students from 6th grade to pre-college. Additionally, Dan works as an After School Teacher at YMCA of Central Florida, integrating theatre practices into after-school programming. Previously, Dan held the role of Entertainment Coordinator at Universal Orlando Resort for nearly two decades, managing venue operations and staff coordination. Early career experience includes work as an Independent Contractor with Orlando Repertory Theatre. Dan holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre for Young Audiences and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Central Florida.

Orlando Family Stage is Central Florida's foremost professional family theatre where audiences of all ages experience the adventure and wonder of watching their favorite stories come to life on stage. Housed in a three-theatre complex in Loch Haven Park, Orlando Family Stage is also home to the University of Central Florida’s MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences graduate program, training the next generation of theatre for young audiences leaders - the only program of its kind in the Southeast.
