Troy Rivera

Troy Rivera, P.E. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Fuels, Power Marketing, Contracts & Settlements at the Orlando Utilities Commission since August 2013. In this role, Troy leads initiatives toward Net Zero Carbon goals, developing strategic visions and negotiating long-term renewable power purchase agreements. Previously, as Manager of Power Marketing, Troy oversaw operational planning and energy marketing optimization, and as an Energy Marketer, Troy executed unit commitment and energy marketing tasks. Prior experience includes roles at JEA, where Troy was a Certified System Operator for Bulk Power Operations and an Engineer in Bulk Power Operations. Troy holds a Master of Business from the University of Florida, a Master of Engineering in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, and an Associate Degree from the University of North Florida.
