Dafna Sharir

Dafna Sharir is the Director at Ormat Technologies. Dafna has over 25 years of experience in the corporate world, specializing in mergers and acquisitions.

Sharir began their career as a lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in 1994. Dafna transitioned into the business world in 1999, taking on the role of Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Amdocs. In 2002, they became Senior Vice President Investments at Ampal.

In 2005, Sharir joined Ofer Group and Israelcorp as an M&A specialist. In 2008, they managed the acquisition of a Monaco based asset management firm with an AUM of $500M.

Sharir has also served on the board of directors for Fruitarom Industries Ltd from 2014 to 2018 and Ormat Industries Ltd from 2012 to 2015.

Dafna Sharir has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Tel Aviv University, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Tel Aviv University, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from NYU. Dafna also has an MBA in finance from INSEAD.
