Joanne Dawson

Joanne Dawson is the national director of finance. She heads up a finance team who are committed to working collaboratively to deliver the best possible finance service to OAT academies. She leads on all aspects of finance including the provision of an effective framework of financial control; efficient processes and systems; and strategic performance, risk and decision analysis.

Before joining OAT in 2019, Joanne worked in finance for over 20 years in a variety of sectors including engineering, FMCG and professional services. She also has extensive organisational change experience.

Joanne has served as chair of governors at a school in Birmingham for the past six years.
