Michael Longeway Mpa

Michael Longeway MPA, CCP has extensive experience in the healthcare and paramedic fields. Michael is currently working as a Surveyor at Accreditation Canada since May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Clinical Affairs at Ornge starting from June 2021. From April 2018 to June 2021, they worked as the Deputy Chief at Middlesex London Paramedic Service. Additionally, Michael has held various roles at Ornge, including Manager Paramedic Practice from April 2017 to April 2018, and Critical Care Flight Paramedic from November 2006 to April 2018. Michael has also worked as a CQI/Research Coordinator at Hamilton Health Sciences from February 2013 to May 2017, and as a Paramedic at the Region of Waterloo in April 2006.

Michael Longeway MPA, CCP has a diverse education history. Michael pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Western University, which they completed in 2021. Additionally, they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the same university, which they completed in 2020.

Prior to their studies at Western University, Michael received training and certifications in the field of healthcare. In 2012, they became a Critical Care Paramedic through the Ornge ATM program. Michael also completed the Advanced Care Flight Paramedicine program from Ornge ATM in 2009. Before that, they attended Conestoga College from 2004 to 2006, where they studied Paramedicine. In 2003, they obtained a Health Sciences Certificate from St. Clair College.

Michael Longeway has also acquired several additional certifications throughout their career. Michael earned the certification of Critical Care Flight Paramedic from Ornge in March 2012. In February 2009, they achieved the certification of Advanced Care Paramedic from the Ontario Ministry of Health. Prior to that, in March 2007, they obtained the Aeromedical Theory certification from the Ontario Ministry of Health. Additionally, in July 2006, they received the certification of Advanced Emergency Medical Care Attendant from the Ontario Ministry of Health.
