Allison Merritt

Allison Merritt is an accomplished data scientist and engineer, currently serving as a Cal/Val Data Quality Engineer at OroraTech since September 2025. Prior roles include Senior Data Scientist at komoot from March 2024 to August 2025 and Data Scientist at AutoScout24 from August 2021 to February 2024. Allison's experience as an Independent Contractor for the Warrior-Scholar Project spanned from January 2015 to September 2021. At the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, from October 2017 to July 2021, contributions included developing Python code for processing galaxy formation simulations and co-organizing an international conference. As a Graduate Student Researcher at Yale University from August 2011 to August 2017, Allison executed significant research projects that resulted in numerous publications and led initiatives to enhance graduate student engagement. Allison holds a PhD in Astronomy from Yale University and a BA in Astronomy and Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
