Hiroki Sugita

Hiroki Sugita is a Partner in the M&A and Private Equity, Technology Companies Group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP since April 2015, specializing in cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and venture capital investments across Japan, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Prior to this role, Sugita served as Of Counsel at Keio University from April 2024 to March 2025, and as Counsel for M&A and Private Equity in Real Estate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP from August 2006 to March 2015. Additional experience includes a secondee role at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and JONES DAY®, and an associate position at Morgan Stanley. Educational credentials include an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, a Bachelor of Law from Keio University, and additional studies at Columbia University and the Legal Research & Training Institute of the Supreme Court.
