Philip Hwang

Philip Hwang is a Managing Associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, having joined the firm in October 2025. Prior to this role, Philip served as an Associate at Paul Hastings from February 2021 to October 2025. Philip's legal experience includes a position as a Criminal Division Extern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California in early 2020, and a Summer Associate position at Paul Hastings in mid-2019. Additionally, Philip completed an externship in the Enforcement Division at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in 2018 and worked as an International Arbitration Paralegal at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP from 2014 to 2017. Philip earned a Doctor of Law degree (JD) from USC Gould School of Law between 2017 and 2020 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from New York University from 2010 to 2014. Philip is an alumnus of Gretchen Whitney High School, graduating in 2010.
