Matthew Verney

Matthew Verney's work experience includes a recent role as Service Operations Lead at Orro Group starting in July 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at Comscentre from March 2021 to June 2021.

From 2019 to 2021, Verney worked as a Technical Account Manager at Frontline Services, where they were responsible for pre-sales solution scoping, cybersecurity solutions, enterprise architecture, and project pipeline.

Before that, they had various roles at Kinetic IT, including Operations Manager for Desktop and Schools Onsite Support, Operations Manager for Software Development, IT Security Project Manager, Operations Manager for Network and Security Operations, Operations Manager for Service Management, and Operations Manager for Network and Security Operations, Data Centre, and Enterprise Management. During their time at Kinetic IT, Verney successfully delivered projects, managed large networks, and led teams.

Prior to Kinetic IT, Verney worked as a Team Lead Network Operations and Security Operations at WA Police, as well as a Network Engineer at various locations in Perth.

Verney also has experience as an IT Consultant at TFX Solutions, where they focused on network integration for small and medium-sized enterprises and educational institutions. Additionally, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at Four Colour Graphics.

Overall, Verney has extensive experience in service operations, technical account management, network and security operations, and IT consulting across a variety of industries and organizations.

Matthew Verney attended Leeming Senior High School from 1992 to 1996, where they completed their high school education. In 1997, they enrolled in Murdoch University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on Telecommunications Management and Marketing in 2000.

Additionally, Matthew Verney has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2000, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and a Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA). In 2004, they achieved the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification. In 2006, they acquired the Cisco Sales Expert v2 certification. In 2007, they received the HP AIS - Network Node Manager certification.

Matthew Verney's journey of learning continued as they obtained various ITIL certifications. In 2011, they achieved the ITIL Intermediate - PPO certification. In 2012, they obtained the ITIL v3 Expert and ITIL v3 Managing Across the Lifecycle certifications. Matthew also acquired the ITIL Intermediate - SOA certification in the same year.

In 2015, Matthew Verney earned the CISMP - Certificate in Information Security Management Principles from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. 2017 saw him becoming an AgilePM Practitioner under APMG International. The following year, they received the Mist WiFi Certification from Mist Systems.

More recently, Matthew Verney has obtained additional certifications. In 2020, they completed the Standard 11 Generic Coal Induction (GI) training at Pinnacle Safety and Training. In 2022, they obtained the Fortinet Network Security Expert Level 5: Certified Analyst certification, as well as the Fortinet FortiManager 6.4 Administrator certification and the Fortinet FortiAnalyzer 6.4 Administrator certification.

It is worth noting that they also hold the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, but the exact date of completion is unknown. Similarly, Matthew Verney has a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, but the date of completion remains unspecified. Matthew is also pursuing the ITIL Intermediate - OSA and ITIL Intermediate - RCV certifications, but their completion dates are unknown.
