Delayni Dameron

Delayni Dameron has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

In 2014, Delayni worked as a Program Specialist at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where they tutored, supervised, and led activities for children in the after-school program. Delayni also assisted in managing the organization's Facebook account.

From 2016 to 2017, Delayni held multiple positions at Floyd and Marion Stafford Pool. As an Assistant Manager & Head Lifeguard, they oversaw daily operations and safety measures for the pool and managed a team of 15 lifeguards. Additionally, as a Head Swim Coach, they coached a team of 60 swimmers and successfully increased the team's size through social media and public outreach.

In 2017, Delayni worked as a Finance Intern for Marie Newman for Congress and as a Water Safety Instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

In 2018, they served as a Field Director/Deputy Campaign Manager for Deb Conroy for IL House.

From January to September 2019, Delayni worked as the Chief of Staff for State Representative Deb Conroy, and from October 2019 to November 2020, they worked as a Regional Field Director for Progressive Turnout Project.

Most recently, Delayni joined Orthogonal in May 2021 as a Recruiting and Project Coordinator. In June 2022, they were promoted to the position of Manager of Human Resources and Operations, where they currently work.

Delayni Dameron obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science & English from the University of Illinois Chicago. Delayni attended the university from 2015 to 2018.
