Frank J. Aversano, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult hand and upper extremity conditions. Dr. Aversano’s expertise includes treatment of arthritis of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder including joint replacement; fractures and sports injuries of the hand and upper extremity; tendon and ligament injuries including rotator cuff or biceps tears; masses of the hand and upper extremity including ganglion cysts; nerve compression syndromes including carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome; Dupuytren’s contracture; trigger finger; and arthroscopic treatment of wrist, elbow, and shoulder disorders.

Dr. Aversano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and physics from Loyola University in Baltimore. Dr. Aversano earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Aversano then completed fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Indiana Hand and Shoulder Center in Indianapolis.
